Automotive Repair Certifications

At Metro Transmission and Automotive we let our certifications speak for us. One of the most important and relevant mechanic shop certifications comes from The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). As a consumer, an ASE certification is important to you for multiple reasons. It means the mechanics working on your vehicle have been properly educated by the most comprehensive training in the industry. Beyond the education, ASE also requires their certified technicians to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience. According to the ASE website the certification requirements are as follows. “In addition to passing an ASE Certification test, automotive technicians must have two years of on the job training or one year of on the job training and a two-year degree in automotive repair to qualify for certification.”
On top of our mechanics being ASE certified, we are an AAA Approved Auto Repair Center with a 100% approval rating. We are also certified with the Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association (ATRA). The ATRA is the largest network of transmission repair professionals in the world, consisting of over 2,000 members.
