Metro Covid Guidelines

To Our Valued Customers...

As time passes….the Coronavirus is having an impact on everyone in some form or another. We wanted to clarify some things that we are doing here at Metro Transmission and Automotive with an explanation of our Covid Guidelines:

Sick Employees

If an employee is sick, they stay home. It’s that simple! We offer employees PAID sick leave to give them the opportunity to stay home and get healthy without worrying about the loss of wages. This also gives our healthy employees a healthy environment without the risk of getting infected by a sick co-worker.

Shop Maintenance

We have acquired an ample supply of cleaners and disinfectants which we use in the customer lobby area on an hourly basis. This includes the service writer counters, chairs, phones, and customer bathroom.

Your Car

We have recently implemented a new policy pertaining to YOUR car. All employees will use gloves while working on your car. Upon entering your car, we will wipe down your car’s door handle, steering wheel, gear shifter, and window switches. When the job is completed, we will wipe down these same components

Social Distancing

While the “shelter in place” is in effect, and you cannot or choose to not leave your residence due to the Coronavirus, we will make arrangements to pick up your vehicle from your home (free with in a 5 mile radius of Metro Transmission and Automotive, a small surcharge for over 5 miles) and deliver the vehicle back to you when finished. This will require some coordinated effort. Please schedule appointments for this service 1-2 days in advance.

To some of you, this will seem like overkill. To others, these policies will be embraced as proper preventative measures to protect our customers as well as employees. Regardless of where you stand on the topic, we are doing these things for YOU.

Whether your car needed service or repair before the virus story broke, or is still needed today, we don’t want anyone to fear bringing your car into Metro Transmission and Automotive.

You count on your car. It must work properly each time you need it. Don’t put off needed repairs and maintenance out of fear. We are in this together! Please feel free to share this message with your family, friends and co-workers.

Respectfully,
Rick and Michelle Grant
